Riki is a 2nd generation Japanese-American, born and raised in Redondo Beach, California. After attending Waseda University and the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Commerce, he joins Morgan Stanley in 2013.
During his career at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan, he covered global institutional investors and provided broad financial advisory regarding the Global and Japanese markets, from IPOs to Stock analysis.
In 2020, he started Riviera Partners, and since has supported Japanese corporates and governments explore and execute investment opportunities in Africa, as well as designing roadshow programs and speaking on various panels.
Currently he serves at Director at Novastar Ventures, one of the first and largest institutional VC in Africa that focuses on creating social and enivironmental values for the many – not just the few – in Africa.
